A road check by the police takes place Wednesday November 20, 2024 since 2:45 p.m. Saint-Avé (Morbihan). Many police officers are mobilized.

What do the police control?

This control is part of the road safety operations carried out regularly by law enforcement in the department. This Wednesday, November 20, 16 gendarmes are mobilized on a roundabout on departmental road 135B in Saint-Avé for this important operation.


The gendarmes control the driving while drunk and/or under the influence of drugs and dangerous behavior.

Forty-eight vehicles checked

Prefectural presence

An update on road insecurity figures

The chief of staff will take the opportunity to present the figures for road insecurity in Morbihan to the press. In November, the bar of 40 deaths (42 as of November 20) in road accidents was exceeded for the year 2024.

As a reminder, in 2023, 44 people lost their lives in road accidents.
