The first snowflakes fell a little before 6 a.m. In Ille-et-Vilaine, snowfall was observed in the northern part of the department this Thursday, November 21. Several sectors are concerned.

On the side of the Fougères basin, a small amount of snow covered the ground in the coldest places. Same observation a little further west towards Saint-Rémy-du-Plain where snowflakes have been falling continuously since this morning.

Be careful on the roads if you are in this area. Traffic was considered delicate on minor roads in the northeast at 7:30 a.m.

Traffic is difficult in the north-east of the department. The roads are slippery and loss of grip is possible. (Ille-et-Vilaine Route Info)

A little further north, some residents of Saint-Malo were surprised to wake up to snowflakes this morning. A very thin white film covered the ground in several neighborhoods.

Snow also fell in the Bécherel sector.

Around , a few flakes are falling mixed with rain – but the temperature remains too high for the snow to stick to the ground. However, this is enough to whiten certain roofs and make the roads slippery. Slowdowns are observed on all roads in the northern part of the department.
