Insoumise formalizes (or almost) its desire to conquer , Vénissieux and Vaulx-en-Velin

Idir Boumertit and Abdelkader Lahmar, very likely rebellious candidates in Vénissieux and Vaulx-en-Velin – LyonMag

Last September, LyonMag gave priority to the Rebels by revealing their strengthened position in the Metropolis after the summer elections.

In Politis this week, Jean-Luc Mélenchon's party practically formalizes its desire to lead several cities in the conurbation.

And if MP Gabriel Amard announces “favor conquests in right-wing cities”LFI will not do any favors to certain difficult allies of NUPES. “We also remember that the communists and socialists did everything to prevent us from entering the Senate in 2023”declares the son-in-law of Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

However, as our editorial team revealed, three cities voting massively for the rebels will very probably be the subject of an LFI list in the first round with a good chance of winning and overthrowing the outgoing councilors: Villeurbanne (PS), Vénissieux (PCF) and Vaulx-en-Velin (PS).

Concerning the latter, led by Hélène Geoffroy (PS), the potential candidate Abdelkader Lahmar, currently deputy for the 7th constituency of Rhône, violently attacks the former minister, calling her a “disguised right-wing mayor”.

In Vénissieux, Idir Boumertit secretly dreams of overthrowing the communist Michèle Picard.

As a reminder, the current environmentalist president of the Metropolis of Lyon Bruno Bernard will have to play justice of the peace. And the first echoes and unofficial exchanges suggest that he will agree with the rebels, for fear of endangering his re-election and that of Grégory Doucet in Lyon.
