Niger wants to take Morocco as a model – AgriMaroc.ma

Morocco presents itself as a model having accumulated great experience in water management, said Wednesday in Rabat, the Minister of Hydraulics, Sanitation and Environment of the Republic of Niger, Colonel Maïzama Abdoulaye, visiting the Kingdom from November 18 to 23.

In a statement to the press following his talks with the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, Mr. Abdoulaye noted the importance of collaboration between the two countries for the development of hydraulic strategies. and environmental.

Likewise, he stressed the need to mobilize the necessary resources to implement these strategies, while benefiting from Moroccan expertise in water management. In this sense, he reaffirmed Niger’s commitment to optimal management of hydraulic resources for the benefit of its citizens.

Since the dawn of time, the Moroccan people have never stopped showing their solidarity and brotherhood towards the Nigerien people, noted the minister who was accompanied by the Niger ambassador to Morocco, Salissou Ada.

For his part, Mr. Baraka stressed that these talks aimed to develop a road map to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the areas of water and purification, noting that he also was a question of sharing expertise and implementing an integrated program in Niger aimed at developing the sectors linked to water, purification and agriculture, while improving the country’s irrigation system.

These meetings were also an opportunity to discuss training opportunities for Nigerien experts by Moroccan experts, he added.
