In Clermont, the alert was triggered by a anonymous call at the Société Générale agency, reporting the presence of an explosive device. In response, the authorities sealed off access to the city center, leading to the complete evacuation of Rue de la République, from Place Jean-Corroyer to the area around the church. Traders and residents were confined, generating an atmosphere of tension and uncertainty.

Similar scenario in Saint-Just-en-Chaussée

At the same time, a similar alert occurred in Saint-Just-en-Chaussée, also within a Société Générale agency located on rue d'Amiens. This deployment of security forces required completely blocking the street to guarantee the safety of citizens. During these operations, a dog team was mobilized to check the situation in the two locations concerned.
