As Christmas approaches, Advent calendars are popping up on supermarket shelves. Many consumers are snapping them up ten days before the start of December.
Among the thousands of references in stores, a calendar should be avoided. As indicated by the Rappel-Conso site, the 215-gram Celebrations brand fir-shaped calendar is the subject of a recall throughout France.
Which batches are affected?
It was marketed from September 12, 2024 by numerous brands such as Auchan, Intermarché, Carrefour, Magasins U, Cora, Monoprix and Stokomani.
Around forty batches (full list can be found here) sold under the barcode 5000159500173, and whose minimum durability date is between June 8 and September 14, 2025, are affected.
Why this reminder?
As the government site explains, the recall is due to a “labeling anomaly. » “The obligatory information does not appear in French”specifies Rappel-Conso, which therefore emphasizes that a risk of allergy is possible while the chocolates contained in the calendar contain “barley, eggs, milk, peanuts, soy and wheat. »
What to do if you have one?
It is recommended not to consume the products. You can contact consumer service at 0.969.320.680. Compensation in the form of a voucher will be granted to you.
