National Rally Deputy for the 6th constituency of Pas-de-Calais, Christine Engrand has been at the heart of the turmoil since her election in the early legislative elections. A turmoil such that the office of the RN group in the National Assembly decided to suspend it for the next six months. The group accuses him of using mandate fees for personal purposes.

This decision follows “his hearing by a delegation from the group's office, delayed by sick leave“said the RN in a press release.”This temporary exclusion of course takes into account the fact that the non-regulatory expenses mentioned in recent weeks in the press have been reimbursed to the National Assembly.“, it is specified.

Furthermore, the National Rally group has made it known that it will “refer the matter to the National Investiture Commission of the National Rally so that it can rule unfavorably on a future investiture” by Christine Engrand.

According to MediapartChristine Engrand would have in particular dipped into her parliamentary envelope to pay for the boarding of her two dogs, to subscribe to a dating site at 39.99 euros per month, but also for funeral expenses of 5971.94 euros. “The disputed transactions exceed the 10,000 euros of public money“, estimates the online investigative media.

In parallel, The Parisian revealed that the elected official had had a vehicle confiscated with a technical inspection defect, which she was driving with an invalid license. The MP then justified herself with “administrative error“.

Elected in the first round of early legislative elections in the rural territories of Calaisis, Boulonnais and Audomarois, this could be her last mandate for the far-right party. Indeed, if the National Investiture Commission of the National Rally decides against a future investiture, Christine Engrand will no longer be able to run under the RN label.
