“We are not here to play,” warns Christophe Van Lierde, first vice-president of the FNAT. They want to cut taxi fares in half, it's not serious. » And added: “This will put 43,000 taxi companies in danger In . Not counting the paramedics. Behind companies, there are employees, women and men, families…

Dependent residents

President of the National Federation of Independent Taxis (FNTI) of Finistère, Harry Mooren, who works in La Forêt-Fouesnant, confirms that the agreement under study will endanger businesses in the department, as everywhere in France. “Taxis risk lose 25 to 35% of their turnover if the announced pricing conditions are effective. Particularly those of rural areas, for whom medical transport represents 85 to 100% of their activity! »

But he goes further: “Of course, companies are threatened, but beyond that, it is the habitants who will suffer. Because a whole part of the population of the countryside and small towns is dependent on medical transportto go to medical consultations, dialysis, radiotherapy treatments, etc. »

Negotiations Monday November 25

He specifies that “the problem has been latent since last year. We were unable to reach an agreement for the new convention. The one which should come into force for the period 2025-2029 is under discussion. The CNAM made proposals at the national level, which were studied by our inter-union association, which drafted counter-proposals . »

He informs that these are currently being analyzed. ” Of the negotiationsare to be held on Monday November 25 in . The FNTI is not calling for the demonstration launched by other unions, because we do not want to put pressure before these negotiations. Which, we hope, will succeed. We must remain optimistic. If we do not find an agreement, then yes, we reserve the possibility of implementing actions at the national level. But not before the negotiations. »
