The Civil Service puts itself on display in its multiple activities to seduce its future agents

For its third edition, the Public Employment Forum has moved to the events area, in order to welcome the public in a friendly manner. All strata of the public service were represented. On some stands visitors waited patiently for their turn to get information.

A source of different professions

Mathieu Gaudin, responsible for developing attractiveness at the Prefecture of Lozère, is pleased with the enthusiasm generated by the meeting: “Last year, we saw that we were not in an optimal configuration. There, we are all in the same room, we can share, have interactions between the different public functions.” Yannick Soulier, head of France Travail in Lozère, is at the heart of the employment needs in the region: “We receive job seekers, civil servants who would consider retraining, students. This fair aims to raise awareness of the institutions. In each of them, there are different professions. In the gendarmerie, there are mechanics, for example.

Étienne Saint-Léger, head of department at the Territorial Civil Service Management Center, strives to clearly define the needs: “There are different methods of access to professions. The competition, but there are also contract workers, interns, apprentices, subsidized contracts. There is a meaning in working in the service of the public.” In Lozère, more than 70 positions are open. Théo, 22 years old, bac + 3 on environmental risks and impacts, came to test the waters: “I’m coming to meet recruiters. It’s a first for me.” On the billboards at the entrance, two announcements caught his attention within the Cévennes National Park. Between light pollution and water and sanitation, he has a choice in his field. The forum keeps all its promises.
