At the end of this match, we interviewed the coach Christophe Canal.

Next match on December 1st for Cahors Lot XIII

How did you prepare for this meeting, against this Toulouges/Baho team, which was nevertheless favorite, at the head of the group?

Christophe Canal – We didn't do anything special. During training, we worked a lot on attack, leaving defense aside. We also worked on footwork, where we need to be better. We need to play one match after another to gain confidence. Our next match will be away, on December 1, against the Villefranche d' team, before hosting Entraigues, on December 8, at the Lucien-Desprats stadium, in Cahors.

What are your feelings about this match against Toulouges: Baho?

While we had two defeats in two matches (all away), Toulouges had two victories in two matches. For us, this match was almost a benchmark match.

Objectives for this new season

Who are the main recruits for this 2024-2025 season?

As the only new player, we recruited Paolo Constant, who comes from the Clairac club.

The Villefranche-de-Rouergue team, which plays in Elite 1, loaned us 3 players. I would like to point out that our team plays in Nationale 1.

What are your sporting goals this season?

Our goal is to qualify for the final stages. To do this, we need to finish in the first 6 in this group which has 8 teams. To date, we have 2 defeats and 2 victories, including one on the “green carpet”, against an opposing team lacking players (the match, which should have been the first of the season at home, had been canceled).

“To gain efficiency”

To achieve this objective and to continue to progress, what is your strategy?

You have to be able to find connections between players, in order to win as a collective. There is no star player. The most important thing is the strength of the collective, within this young team, with players between 23 and 25 years old. They have been playing together for 2-3 years. It was the collective that won the victory on November 17 against Toulouges/Baho.

What is the general physical and moral state of the group?

He's good. This Sunday, November 17, the players ran until the end of the match. We need to find benchmarks. Trust is worked on, collectively. To do this, it is necessary to chain matches together to gain efficiency.
