Criminalization of solidarity actions at borders. This is what a report from Tous Migrants denounces! The association, in partnership with the Observatory of Associative Freedom, released a report this Monday, entitled “ In disregard of rights. Investigation into the repression of solidarity with people exiled at the borders ».
This is the fourth report from this observatory which focuses on the repression suffered by associations supporting people exiled on the three Franco-British, Franco-Spanish and Franco-Italian borders.
In our territories, it is the latter that interests us. The solidarity associations in Montgenèvre denounce “strong pressure” from the police towards them, who “criminalize their actions” according to Brune Béal, advocacy officer within the TousMigrants association based in Briançon.
“In Montgenèvre, we have several examples of false fines against people in solidarity for not wearing a seat belt, for crossing a forbidden forest path and even for noise at night when they had just slammed the door of the their cars. » B. Béal
