Protection of water resources
Fabienne Laure recalled that this partnership with the shared Seine and its tributaries was part of EDF's water resource protection and management strategy, which in this case intends to go further than the simple ERC triptych. (avoid, reduce, compensate). The partnership with La Seine en shared takes the form of regular cleaning actions on the banks of the Seine carried out jointly. In addition to the Nogent-sur-Seine nuclear power plant, EDF operates equipment on the banks of the Seine in Montereau, where two fuel turbines (TAC) are in service, or on the former Porcheville thermal site. This partnership also reflects EDF's interest in river transport, and its desire to increase exchanges with other shared Seine partners (Haropa, VNF, Siaap or Seine-Grands Lacs).
