Transforming housing in Guadeloupe through sober land management
The SAY et Caribbean Landspublic land establishment of Guadeloupe and Saint-Martin, have just signed a partnership to respond to the growing housing needs et social inclusion while promoting a sober land management.
There will be multiple levers to create inclusive, sustainable housing adapted to all audiences :
- Transformer urban spaces;
- Revitalize town centers;
- Making the most of available spaces ;
- Rehabilitate abandoned or vacant buildings;
- Transformer offices in housing;
- Reconvert urban wastelands.
Of the diversified solutions will be developed elsewhere, such as access to property via the joint real lease* and the creation of housing for students, seniors and families. The partnership also takes into account the temporary housing needs for workers and protection and accommodation of the most vulnerable groups.

A new residence with 60 housing units in La Jaille Baie-Mahault
The SAY has just inaugurated, La Jaille Baie-Mahault, the Joseph Titeca-Beauport residence, which includes 60 housing units, including 44 intermediate and 16 social. This new residence located in city center aims to be a model in terms ofenvironment and of quality of life. Distributed over 6 2-story buildingsthe accommodations are equipped with solar water heaters.
Acquired by SAY off-plan, the residence required an investment of nearly 11,2 M€ financed by the Bank of the Territoriesl’État et Housing Action.
