European Waste Reduction Week (EWRW) is a key time for citizen mobilization to highlight and adopt together more virtuous consumption practices to eat better and waste less.
The SERD: An event that mobilizes the City of Capbreton
With food waste as a theme, the City of Capbreton participates in this event by offering numerous fun awareness-raising activities: A master class from the Louis Darmanté professional high school, a workshop with Les Voiles s'en mingnt or even the conference “permaculture at the reach of all” by author Julie Bernier.
From 11/19/2024 to 11/24/2024 in the heart of downtown Capbreton, many activities are offered.

Activities to raise awareness of food waste
culinary and creative workshops. Discover the right actions to recycle discarded food or organize a “zero waste” reception with the master class from the Louis Darmanté vocational school. Share a friendly and fun moment at the Écume des Jours media library around a workshop with “Les Voiles s’en mingnt” or attend the conference “Permaculture within everyone’s reach”, hosted by the author Julie Bernier at the Le Vent Délire bookstore.

The Slow Market, a “slow consumption” fair
“Slowly Mag” is joining forces with around twenty local creators and actors for a show dedicated to “slow consumption” on Saturday November 23 and Sunday November 24 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sports Park. The opportunity to learn good practices to consume less and better!

An “anti-waste” recipe competition
From November 4 to 19, participate in a competition by sharing your best anti-waste recipe on video or in writing. The objective is simple: to offer a recipe using leftovers as ingredients and generate as little waste as possible. The prize giving ceremony will be organized on Saturday November 23 at 3:30 p.m., with many prizes to be won. Up to you !
