Broadcast since 2021 on TF1, the hit series HPI, hosted by actress Audrey Fleurot, began filming its fifth and final season this Monday, November 18 in the North.
After having captivated millions of viewers and establishing itself as one of the essential French series in recent years, HPI, carried by Audrey Fleurot in the role of Morgane Alvaro, is preparing to bow out. Filming for the fifth and final season began this Monday, November 18 in the North.
Just a few weeks after the broadcast on TF1 of the last episode of season four, entitled “Ultraviolet”, the Itinéraire Productions team is already hard at work. Audrey Fleurot also shared the information on her Instagram account.
And for this final season, the production teams will once again be present in Hauts-de-France. The cameras will stop in Lille, Lezennes, Linselles, Mons-en-Barœul, Roubaix, Sailly-lez-Lannoy in the Lille metropolis, but also in Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel and Terdeghem., as reported The Voice of the North.
An incursion into Belgium, in the Flemish region, is also planned. Fans of the series may have the opportunity to meet the team there.
A final season full of twists and turns
From the pen of the main screenwriters, Alice Chegaray-Breugnot and Julien Anscutter, and under the direction of Vincent Jamain, season 5 promises to be a “beautiful ending”. “We would like it to end on top, with panache and fantasy, rather than it being diluted over time,” explains to Télé 7 Jours, Mehdi Nebbou, who plays Karadec in HPI.
“It would be a shame for a unique series that pleases so much and which we also like to do one season too many with the risk that it becomes watered down or that it becomes downright reheated.”
To provide a memorable conclusion, the season should bring its share of surprises and upheavals. Indeed, the end of season 4 revealed that Karadec was the father of Morgane's child, paving the way for a possible romance between the two characters, despite their current tensions.
“If Morgane is good at chaos, insecurity and adversity, she is much less good at happiness and simplicity,” warns TF1. And continues:
“But trying a love affair when we are already co-parents, colleagues and roommates… Is it a genius idea? Or an excellent way to screw everything up?”
Fans will be able to discover this final season, made up of eight 52-minute episodes, next spring.
