Empty Continental Hotel in Pau. – The famous 70-room establishment, which has just closed its doors, is organizing a major sale, these November 23 and 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.: furniture, decorations, crockery, televisions, professional equipment, taps, etc. An opportunity to do great business.
Collection from the Pouillon Food Bank. – These November 22, 23 and 24, the association is launching a call for mobilization, emphasizing that precariousness also affects rural areas, where its action is essential. Every two weeks, 70 families benefit from food aid, mainly single parents and the elderly, a figure that is constantly increasing. Faced with falling stocks, volunteers are hoping for massive mobilization during their presence in local stores, notably at the Intermarché de Pouillon, the Intermarché de Cauneille, and in the Carrefour and Lidl stores in Peyrehorade. Middle school students from the Defense Class of Rosa-Parks college will act as ambassadors during the weekend, raising residents' awareness of this crucial issue. Volunteers are counting on the generosity of residents to respond, as they do every year, to this solidarity appeal.
