The department of Moselle and Moselle Attractiveness present the new edition of “Christmas of Moselle”, which takes place from November 22 to December 30. Discover the highlights and events not to be missed!
This year, the magic of Christmas will shine in Moselle. Lantern trails, Christmas markets, illuminations, events… Discover the 2024 edition!
The bright roads of the Moselle
Start your journey at Marange-Silvange where lanterns transform the city into an open-air constellation. Then head towards Forbachat Schlossberg Park: the rose garden will be enchanted. Then we go back to Hombourg-Hautwhere the old stones of the medieval city light up.
Now we are heading towards Sarrebourghead to the world of Lulu the elf, a universe that will light up at nightfall. Then, head to Valette Park Sierck-les-Bainsat the foot of the castle. End your luminous adventure at Meisenthal thanks to light installations that will create a dreamlike atmosphere.
The Metz lantern trail
Like every year, the Lantern Trail lights up the capital of Metz and takes you into a magical world. This 13th edition will take you through Christmas stories and legendslike the Nutcracker and Saint Nicholas.
New this year : look up, and discover northern lights. A new lighting display, produced by a laser, which will transport visitors to Lapland. An installation carried out by the company IM Événementiel, from Scy-Chazelles.
This year, the prankster elves are coming to the Trail. Six elves scenes will be hidden in the different universes.
The Lantern Trail in a few figures:

- 170 000 visitors in 2023
- The tallest lantern, the North Pole station measures 5.5 meters
- The longest lantern, Santa's train measures 10 meters
The Sainte-Croix park unveils a whole new experience
“In Search of Winter” : this is the name of light path that the animal park offers. It opens for the first time all winter and the entire area will be immersed in a festive atmosphere. An eco-designed show, respectful of nature and animal welfare. A 1h15 journey which will take young and old on an educational and fun quest.
The MOSL Quality chalet
This year, the Qualité MOSL chalet, located on Place de la République, welcomes 53 local producersincluding 18 new ones. 150 m2 which will accommodate a varied range of products, ranging from gourmet products to decoration and even multiple Christmas gifts.
New this year: Moselle Attractiveness offers boxes to explore the department. 57 different activities are offered, from gastronomy to discovering the landscapes and must-see places in the department.
The Hall of Lights
Another new feature: a 25-minute digital tour adapted for the Halle Verrière in Meisenthal. Dreamlike settings where nature, culture and know-how of Pays de Bitche are revealed in a poetic and visual form.
