: for the end-of-year holidays, Emmaüs is organizing a 100% upcycling sale

An eco-responsible initiative for original Christmas gifts. From November 20 to December 31, Emmaüs will offer for the first time, at 14, rue du Château d'Eau, in the 10th arrondissement of , the creations of seven upcycling workshops from its movement (R/, Atelier Regain, Helping hand…). The “Upcycling Christmas market by Stüdio Emmaüs” will allow visitors to purchase products (clothing, accessories, etc.) whose value has been improved compared to the initial object. These were shaped by employees in integration supported by Emmaüs.

Upcycling (or “overcycling”) aims to recycle used products by giving them a new, more qualitative life. Concretely, the idea is to recover all kinds of materials that we no longer use to create superior quality objects or products.

The association's objective is to highlight an eco-responsible approach during a Christmas period when consumption sometimes shows some excesses on a social or environmental level. Visitors will be able to find clothing, accessories, as well as objects for the home, all made from materials or objects that could not be used as is (because defective, obsolete, etc.).

During these six weeks, DIY workshops (“Do it yourself”, “make it yourself”) will be offered in the store “so that everyone can come and express their creativity and be aware of reuse”, explains Emmaüs. The space will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
