“The first six months of 2025 risk being a little complicated”: the concern of the president of the CCI du about the economic context

Eric Giraudier sets up monitoring for companies in fragile situations.

We will spare you the details of the budget documents voted on at the CCI general assembly on November 18. Still, despite a constrained context, due in particular to the national deficit, “the voted budget is in balance”, says Eric Butel, treasurer of the consular chamber. “The house is well kept”smiles Eric Giraudier, the president, who provides calendar details on two current projects. First, the purchase of the Exhibition Center from the City, the signing of the compromise must be carried out before the end of 2024; then the installation in the sumptuous company house, on the ring road, with a “moving between January and February and an inauguration between June 16 and 19”.

Less encouraging, Eric Giraudier announces economic signals that have passed in a few months “from green to red” in view of the national and international political situations and the economic deficit which will necessarily lead to reductions in public orders. Also, at the start of 2025, the CCI intends to set up a VSE monitoring, intended for small businesses, in partnership with the president of the commercial court Jean-Marie Albouy. Objective: identify companies in difficulty to find solutions before it is too late.

Grégoire Pierre-Dessaux wants to “change your outlook”

It is in this context that the new director general, Grégoire Pierre-Dessaux, was presented, whose departure from the Gard prefecture for the CCI was variously appreciated within the prefectural body. “This is a detachment, said the latter. It’s a choice that’s not that out of the ordinary. Out of the hundred CCIs in , five CCI directors come from the prefectural body. The civil service transformation law invites senior civil servants to broaden their horizons. The CCI, which is a public establishment, is a way for me to change my outlook while remaining within a career path that is less linear and more global.”
