Patty Soulier passed away a few days ago and the members of the Secours populaire Capbreton committee wanted to pay tribute to her: she was without a doubt “a beautiful person” And “we are proud at Secours populaire to have met her and to continue the path she traced.” She had been a volunteer for almost 20 years, first in the Paris region, then in the Landes from 2005, when she retired, a department that this Paloise had appreciated since her adolescence.
Born in Dax, teacher then school director, very attached to the values of public service, particularly secularism, she has always favored the public interest over particular interests. A strong, very determined personality, she knew how to warmly welcome people to Secours populaire, a true catalyst of energy.
Joyful and passionate
After the death of her husband, Patty became even more involved in the association and in higher authorities as members of the departmental committee but also on the MACS Social Hotel Commission (Maremne Adour South Coast), where her interventions were always appreciated.
Joyful, cheerful, passionate about culture, she shared her passions within the Pey de Moun association (for her taste for travel) but also the LSCA association (Landes Côte Sud Accueil). In the company of her “friends of recess”, former members of National Education, she shared moments of conviviality but also her joy of living during the days of those forgotten during the holidays, among the people helped by Secours populaire.
Until the last moment, she was active for her association, committing herself tirelessly to all the missions, the last being the distribution of Christmas 2024, preparing, with the other volunteers, the outline of this celebration and forgetting her problems health.
His presence, his example, his will, his demands, his laughter, his voice also will have marked generations of people helped and volunteers.
