Until December 20, 2024, the World Peace Center in Verdun invites you to discover “Funny Peace: 1945-2019”, an immersive exhibition retracing the turbulent history of the world since the end of the Second World War.
Between espionage, geopolitical tensions and contemporary challenges, the exhibition “Funny Peace: 1945-2019” to be discovered until December 20, 2024 at the World Peace Center in Verdun promises a unique experience for young and old.
A dive into contemporary history
Placed under the High Patronage of President Emmanuel Macron and the European Parliament, the “Funny Peace” exhibition offers unprecedented insight into the last 70 years. From the Cold War to the present day, the route retraces the major events that have shaped our current world, in a scenography that is both fun and informative.
Exceptional objects to discover
More than 200 unique pieces are presented to the public, including real spy gadgets loaned by the General Directorate of Internal Security. Visitors will also be able to admire everyday objects from the communist bloc, silent witnesses to a bygone era.
An exhibition to understand today's issues
Beyond the historical aspect, “Droles de Paix” addresses the contemporary challenges that our society faces: terrorism, new technologies, environmental issues and even the rise of populism. An essential visit to better understand the complexity of today's world.
