On November 22 and 23, 2024, the Manche Food Bank will participate in the 40th national collection. To fight against food insecurity, it will bring together 1,200 volunteers spread across 101 stores in the department. The Food Bank supports 7,493 people in Manche through a network of 53 distribution points.
During the 2023 collection, the Manche Food Bank collected the equivalent of 139,512 meals. “The mobilization of everyone in all territories is essential”, says the charity.

Online collection via a solidarity platform
It is also possible to make donations via the internet with the platform www.monpaniersolidaire.org. Internet users can create baskets online.

Each year, Food Banks collect nearly 123,000 tonnes of products throughout the country from the food industry, farmers, mass retailers and the general public.
