It's an understatement to say that the project is awaited. In the context of a saturated real estate market and an increasingly strong demand for housing, the Department and its social landlord, Finistère Habitat, laid the first stone on Monday, November 18 for a project of 34 new social housing units. Located along the old Rosporden road, in Quimper, and named Résidence Anthony, the project will be entirely dedicated to rental. “It is a project which was presented two years ago and which was the subject of two building permits following problems linked to the network”, explains Laurent Prat, director of development and heritage at Finistère Habitat.
Three different rent levels
“Previously, there was only one pavilion on this plot, which was in a dilapidated state,” recalls Pierre-Jean Grenouilleau, general manager of Axiom, project owner. “Clearly, we are in a logic of densification. In view of demand, more and more individual houses are being replaced by collective housing. This project is part of this logic. »
In total, it will include sixteen T2 dwellings, fourteen T3 dwellings, three T4 dwellings and one T5 dwelling. The building itself has two levels. The accommodations located on the ground floor, eight of which are suitable for elderly people, benefit from private gardens, and those located upstairs have balconies. Each accommodation will also benefit from at least one parking space. “The majority of these are small housing units, because that is what is most in demand,” underlines Laurent Prat. Delivery of the site is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. The housing allocation commission will be organized four months before delivery of the work. “The housing will have three different rent levels, so that there is real social diversity,” insists Didier Guillon, president of Finistère Habitat and vice-president of the Department, which is investing nearly 5.4 million euros in the operation.
