The 13th edition of the industry week takes place from November 18 to 24, 2024.
Since 2011, this national operation has been intended to promote the industry and its professions to the general public, and more particularly to pupils, students and job seekers.
This new edition contributes to creating bridges between the professional world and education, and to fighting against persistent clichés about the industry and its professions, with fun and educational events organized throughout the national territory. It is also an opportunity to highlight the State's mechanisms to support companies in meeting the new challenges of the industry.
With historical know-how around agriculture, the Cantal department has been able to diversify and develop around a network of innovative small and medium-sized businesses, leaders in their fields at national and international level, around centers of expertise strong, such as biotechnologies, the wood industry, the agri-food industry, robotics, plastics processing, etc.
Philippe Loos, prefect of Cantal, will visit two companies:
• Monday, November 18: Maison Piganiol, manufacturer of umbrellas since 1884, in the presence of representatives of the Cantal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Aurillac town hall and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises agency.
• Thursday, November 21: Agrolab's, interprofessional dairy analysis laboratory, in the presence of representatives of the Cantal chamber of commerce and industry, the Aurillac town hall, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes enterprise agency and 4th and 3rd year students in option discovery of careers at the Portes du Midi de Maurs college.
