A heavy goods vehicle loses its load of waste in Mayenne, traffic disrupted

A heavy goods vehicle lost its trailer on Boulevard Paul-Lintier, in Mayenne, this Monday, November 18, 2024. The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m., at the exit of the Déportés roundabout.

A truck from Smictom (intercommunal household waste collection and treatment union) from the Fougères region lost its load of waste in front of the former La Calèche bar. The trailer of the heavy goods vehicle overturned and the skip located on it overturned, bending a metal barrier.

The truck and the other dumpster being transported remained upright. The driver was slightly injured, according to the firefighters' initial assessment.

While the dumpster is being evacuated, traffic is cut off on Boulevard Paul-Lintier, in the direction of Pré-en-Pail-Saint-Samson.
