Swim Run La Réunion 2024 with world champions at the start

The Swim Run contested on Island will take place this weekend. More than 600 participants are expected, including world champions Matthieu Poullain and Hugo Tormento.

While temperatures have dropped in mainland , the thermometer shows warm temperatures on the island of Reunion. A destination where more than 600 people are expected for the Swim Run organized this Saturday November 22 and Sunday November 23 by the Triathlon Club de (TCSD) and the Ouest Réunion Triathlon (ORT). Three races will be on the program for the Swim Run La Réunion 2024: the Short, the Long and the Marathon.

The first is 14.5 kilometers with six trail sections (12.5 kilometers) and five (2 kilometers) and 146 pairs will be at the start. The intermediate distance, with 114 teams at the start, measures 27.5 kilometers including nine trail sections (23 kilometers) and 8 swimming sections (4.5 kilometers). Finally, 44 teams will participate in the marathon race and will have 42 kilometers to cover with 35 kilometers of trail running in twelve sections and 7 kilometers swimming in eleven sections.

A Miss France also at the start of the Swim Run La Réunion 2024

In the longest event, several world champions will be at the start, including Matthieu Poullain and Hugo Tormento, titled in 2024 for the first and in 2022 as well as in 2023 for the second. Fortunately for their opponents, they will be on two separate teams. Matthieu Poullain will be in a duo with David Pesquet, third in the world championships this year.

Hugo Tormento will be paired with Anne Deboudt, the “Swimruneuse 974” drawn in September to race with the world champion. Another drawn, Fabien Delorenzo, will be teamed up with 2021 world vice-champion William Even.

Other personalities will be at the start of one of the Swim Run La Réunion 2024 races, starting with former Olympic triathlete and local legend David Hauss, already a winner several times on the island and second with his brother in 2022 , or even Marine Ltemporel and Mélinda Pare. Miss France 2013 and her runner-up during the competition will be lined up together on the Courte.
