Mayor Arnaud Murgia once again targeted by offensive tags

The mayor of Briançon was, once again, the target of offensive tags. The elected official condemned this damage on his social networks and received the support of the president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

Arnaud Murgia once again targeted by offensive tags. “Murgia assassin”, “Murgia anti-poor policy” were tagged near the Place de l’Europe, as well as on the city’s Decathlon.

“Free Gaza”, “The police kill” and “the police are complicit” were also tagged on two other places.

“We will not give in in the face of threats”

Faced with these insults, the various right-wing mayor reacted on his X account (formerly Twitter). It indicates in particular that it makes the video surveillance network available to the Hautes-Alpes national police.

“They squat, degrade, threaten, insult, but demand respect for rights! We will give nothing in the face of threats,” he wrote.

The mayor of Briançon received the support of Renaud Muselier, president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

“Idiots who dedicate themselves to the degradation of our streets and businesses! Shame on those who spread their hatred of , of our elected officials and of authority. Total support for our law enforcement and for Arnaud Murgia. The Southern region will always be at your side,” he posted on his X account.

The mayor of , Christian Estrosi, also brought to Arnaud Murgia. He demands that justice identifies and punishes “those responsible for this damage”.

This is not the first time that the councilor has been targeted by tags. Under a bridge Briançona tag “Fire to prisons, borders and Murgia” targeting the councilor had been discovered.
