Taking over a brand known to everyone is never easy, but remains a sacred challenge. This is the one that Marine and Benoit Faberes, a couple from Landes, decided to take on by buying the Quincaillerie I sing in Cadillac, in Gironde.
A new professional adventure
« We are happy ! » Marine and Benoit Faberes are launching their new professional adventure, full of enthusiasm and projects.
After 82 ans in the hands of the Laulan family, the Cadillac hardware store has new owners and they intend to impose their stamp on this business while retaining “the traditional sideand the products that regular customers need.”
A smooth change with new products
“The change will happen smoothly. We will not rush the customer. But we're going to put the store back taste of the day . » The Faberes couple know where they want to go. Within a year, it counts modernize the store and offer more products to alower costto its customers.
We will be able to offer the right product at the right price because we will be part of a powerhouse very soon.
Indeed, if Quincaillerie Laulan was already affiliated with the Weldom brand, with its new owners, it becomes a franchise of this DIY brand.
Two motivated Landais
“The goal is to integrate new products while keeping the rough edges of local commerce. » The buyers want to reassure customers and want to emphasize their desire to remain in the continuity of the store by bringing change.
These two natives of Landes both have a particular experience with world of DIY . Marine Faberes, a trained building painter, worked for 14 ansat Leroy Merlin on the Côte d'Azur. Her husband, Benoit, has had several professional lives (firefighter, carpenter, etc.) and notably one in the Würth company specialized in tools for professionals.
A 4 year old project
For 4 years, they started thinking about this project of buyout of a store and their choice fell on Cadillac for different reasons: to be closer to their family living in Aire-sur-l'Adour and to invest in a proximity in a small town.
Within their establishment, the part commercial will be managed by Marine Laulan, while Benoit will be in charge of the part communicationand administration. “We are complementary,” argue the spouses. They realized this during training for the groupWeldom.
As we left, we looked at each other and said it was obvious. We both had to embark on buying a business.
Now, it's up to them to take over an institution whose former owners, Corinne and Pierre Laulan, still support them a little.
