The weather this Monday promises to be hot in the lows. A few drops are expected in the interior and along the western slopes. The thermometer will display 31°C on the coast. Gusts of wind, of 60 to 70 km/h, sweep the North-East and the South-West. The sea is rough.
The sky on Monday, November 18, 2024, is generally bright and warm. The sun shines over the entire island from the early hours of the day. The few passing clouds along the east coast on the heights of Saint-Paul or Saint-Leu do not affect the general feeling of good weather.
The sky is cloudy in the early afternoon “from Saint-Paul to Grande-Chaloupe, but also on the heights of Saint-Leu”, we learn from Météo-France La Réunion, which specifies: “They can give some scattered flour”. The sun remains in the cirques and along the coast between Saint-Pierre and Saint-André.
The South-East flow is strengthening. Gusts of 55 km/h are expected along the Northeast coasts. They reach 60 to 70 km/h in the South-West. A regime of breezes reigns over the North-West.
Temperatures remain above seasonal norms. They oscillate between 27 and 31°C on the coast, 21 and 25°C in the interior.
The sea is rough in all areas. It becomes strong on the eastern flank of the volcano. A swell of 2m50 breaks between Saint-Philippe and Sainte-Rose. The 2 meter South-South-West swell which broke from La Grande-Chaloupe to Saint-Joseph subsided over the hours.
