Three rape cases will be examined by the Calvados criminal court, in Caen, from Monday November 18 to Friday November 22, 2024.
On Monday 18 and Tuesday 19, a 35-year-old man will be tried for incestuous sexual assault and incestuous rape of a 15-year-old minor. The acts alleged against the accused were allegedly committed between January 2008 and December 2011 in two municipalities located south-east of Caen.
Rape of a minor, rape of a spouse
Another man aged 34 will appear before the court on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21. He is accused of sexual assault on a minor aged 15, of rape of a minor aged 15 but also of rape and sexual assault, in a town also located southeast of Caen. These crimes were allegedly committed between March 2010 and December 2015.
Third and final trial of this session on Friday 22: a 52-year-old man will have to answer for rape committed by a person being or having been a spouse, common-law partner or partner linked to the victim by a civil solidarity pact. The acts were allegedly committed in a town located south of Bayeux between November 2020 and November 2021.
The three accused face 20 years of criminal imprisonment.
