For the holidays, the city of Amiens lights up and organizes an event eagerly awaited by the public: the Christmas market. This year it will take place from November 22 to December 29 and has many new features in store. Like every year, a hundred of chalets traders, rides and the Picardy puppet theater will be present. You will also find many animations. On November 23 at 5 p.m., come dance in a party atmosphere with the Jo Gospel Band and its children's choirs, Place Gambetta.
New events for 2024
For this new year, many new features are expected:
- The creators' village takes place at the Halles du Belfry every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- A new painting from the Chroma show, dedicated to Notre-Dame de Paris, will be discovered every evening at 7 p.m. on the square in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral.
- Santa Claus' village with light shows and magical decoration created by the City's Green Spaces department is set up at Place René Goblet. Children will be able to come and meet Santa Claus and his elves.
- Gambetta Station, Place Gambetta, to feel like you're in the mountains and relax in six-seater gondolas.
During the Christmas market, you will also discover six parades et spectacles for young and old on Wednesdays, Fridays and one Sunday. And the Christmas ice rink will make its comeback in the courtyard of the Town Hall, with a view of the giant tree.

Wednesday 27 November – Astro Diva : Stroll in the city center from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday December 4 – Bulle : Stroll in the city center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday December 6 – Dragon Time : Show at Place Maurice Vast (Belfry) from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday December 13 – The snow dream : Place Gambetta from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday December 20 – Harry Potter's Great Journey : Stroll in the city center from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday December 22 – Christmas Brass Band : Christmas concert on the Cathedral square from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All events organized by the city will be free and open to all.
