no blockages but a lot of communication work by Young Farmers

“There are no blockages planned, we want the general public to stay on our side,” underlines Florian Segault, 23, breeder of sheep and suckler cattle in Bruley and president of Young Farmers (JA) 54.

On the other hand, its teams will communicate along the main roads with signs bearing messages such as: “Hormones on your plates = Mercosur”. “The first were installed this weekend in Lunévillois, the others will be from Monday.”

“The French are against Mercosur,” continues the president, referring to this free trade zone which brings together several South American countries. “The general public must remain on our side, which is why our actions will be good-natured.”

“No particular progress since the last demonstrations”

If the signs are not removed, “it is planned to reuse them to convey other messages”. Florian Segault recalls “that there has been no particular progress since the last demonstrations and the new government has only pushed back the laws currently being voted on”.

All this communication work is carried out in conjunction with the FDSEA, “our unions are always associated”.

Together, they will demonstrate in front of the Meurthe-et- prefecture in , this Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. “Our objective is to send a message as we do on the side of the roads.”
