A10, N118… The blocking points planned by farmers for the mobilization in Île-de- this Sunday

The authorities have published a list of roads in the region which are expected to experience disruptions on Sunday in connection with the mobilization of agricultural unions. The sectors concerned are located in and Essonne.

A new mobilization which portends congested or even blocked roads. Farmers' unions will demonstrate this Sunday, November 17 from 4 p.m. and Monday, November 18 until 2 p.m. in Île-de- as part of a national protest movement against the free trade agreement of the European Union with South American countries united in the Mercosur organization. They believe that this proposed agreement would give rise to unfair competition.

On the roads of Yvelines and Essonne, where the bulk of the mobilization will take place, traffic should be disrupted. These will mainly concern axes surrounding the Vélizy-Villacoublay air base (Yvelines), in particular the N118, where the demonstrators will converge.

Several convoys and around a hundred tractors expected

According to the Yvelines prefecture, around a hundred tractors should gather from 5 p.m. on the N118 towards near air base 107 in Vélizy-Villacoublay.

According to information from BFMTV, at least two CRS companies will be mobilized in this sector to prevent them from advancing towards the Pont de Sèvres and therefore Paris. A system which can obviously “evolve depending on the evolution of the situation”, supports a police source at BFMTV.

In total, four convoys are planned. The 1st will arrive from the RN12 and will make a first stop at 5 p.m. at an agricultural equipment dealership in Bazainville (Yvelines). The second will arrive from the RN20 then N104 with a first stop at 4:45 p.m. in Morigny-Champigny (Essonne).

The third convoy will arrive from the A10 with a stop at the Longvilliers toll gate (Yvelines) around 5:00 p.m. Finally, the fourth and last convoy will come from Seine-et- via the A6, the RN 104 and the RN 118 with a gathering in Auvernaux (Essonne) around 5:00 p.m.

Highway A10, N118…

The authorities have called to “avoid” several roads, Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the provincial direction towards Paris and Monday, from early morning until 2 p.m. in the Paris towards provincial direction:

– The A10 motorway and the N118 from Péage de Longvilliers to Vélizy

– The RN20 from Etampes to the junction with the RN104 then with the A10

– The RD74 at Auvernaux, the RD17, the RD117 up to the junction with the RD19 at the communes of Brétigny-sur-Orge and Egly

– The RN12, the D446 and the D117 from Houdan to Velizy

To allow these routes to be bypassed, “road managers affected by the disruptions will set up diversions in real time in order to make traffic flow as smoothly as possible”, specify the prefectures.

Authorities are calling on motorists to plan their trips on Sunday and Monday. “Police and gendarmerie forces will be present to ensure security on the ground,” they specify.
