Saint-Sylvestre-sur-Lot. Manon and Alycia, bronze medalists at the Norris French Open

The first weekend of this month of November took place the Norris French Open individually in Verquin (Pas-de-Calais); first national combat competition of the season. During this competition the CDK47 (Lot-et-Garonne Departmental Committee of Karate and Associated Disciplines) as well as the Karate club of Saint-Sylvestre-sur-Lot are very proud of the performances of their two Lot-et-Garonne competitors. Indeed, their two cadets finished on the podium in third place each in their category: Manon Frances, Cadette bronze medalist – 54 kg; Alicia Viel, bronze medalist Cadet +61 kg. A graduate of the Saint-Sylvestrois club for many years, Alycia Viel is currently taking courses at the regional structure in Talence (Gironde) in the cadet category. Licensed to the club since 1988, Manon Frances joined, in the junior category, the Pôle France in Montpellier (Hérault) where she is trained by a coach from the French team. On Saturday, both return to their original club where, like the other competitors in the competition structure, they follow lessons given by Philippe Frances, Manon's dad.
