In the municipality of Pouancé (Maine-et-Loire), a grave accident traffic required the intervention of several firefighters in the evening of this Friday November 15, 2024. The balance sheet showsone person dead and three injured.

Accident in Maine-et-Loire: a woman dies in a head-on collision

Several vehicles are involved in this tragedy which took place on the road departmental 771connecting the town of Pouancé to Craon, in Mayenne.

“The accident took place while overtaking. There was a head-on collision between vehicles. A investigation is open to determine the exact causes,” specifies the Segré gendarmerie company.

When they arrived on site, the emergency services declared a toll of four injuredincluding one person in serious condition. This victim, a 28-year-old woman, is unfortunately deceased.

The on-site intervention lasted more than two hours and thirty minutes. Meanwhile, the traffic was cut off in both directions.
