Anger of farmers: here is where and at what time “distress lights” will be lit against the Mercosur treaty in Aveyron this Monday

The farmers' movement resumes throughout this Monday, around ten rallying points have been announced in Aveyron to light emergency lights.

Throughout France, the majority union alliance FNSA/Jeunes Agriculteurs are calling for mobilization from Monday November 18, 2024. A movement which promises to be large-scale, as during the demonstrations at the start of 2024 when farmers blocked highways as a sign of protest.

This time, the Mercosur treaty which will be negotiated at the G20 from Monday is the source of the anger of farmers, who denounce what would be a lifting of the rules for importing products into France. “Forcing French breeders with ever more standards, rules to respect on animal welfare, the use of antibiotics and importing polluted foreign meat is an aberration,” says the FDSEA of Aveyron by way of of press release. Many gatherings are announced in the department.

Where will the “hazard lights” be lit?

The FDSEA and the JA of Aveyron intend to light “hazard lights” everywhere in the department, here is where and when:

  • North Aveyron: at the Lacalm fairground from 7 p.m.
  • Lot Valley: near the Super U roundabout in Espalion between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Aveyron Valley: at the Bozouls municipal grounds near Agronomy Services from 9 p.m.
  • Lévézou: in Viarouge from 8 p.m.
  • Ségala: near the La Mothe roundabout from 7 p.m.
  • Villefranche-de-Rouergue : near the Bel-Air roundabout from 7 p.m.
  • Villefranche-de-Rouergue Sud: on the road to Rulhe Durantel Marmiesse from 7 p.m.
  • Vallon: at the winemaker Jean-Pierre Cabantous, between Clairvaux and Valady, from 8:30 p.m.
  • : near the Berger roundabout from 7 p.m.
  • Saint-Affrique: in the Saint-Pierre-de-Rebourgil activity zone from 7 p.m.
