The La Roe Christmas market expects 10,000 visitors
For its 3rd edition, Sunday December 17, 2024, the La Roë Christmas market hopes to pass the 10,000 visitors mark. More than 45 exhibitors, creators and producers who work in the handmade sector, will be spread across the abbey buildings, chalets and sheds. Concert, fireworks or even a visit from Santa Claus are on the program.

A comedy to experience with Les Baladins, in Saint-Berthevin
With four new actors, the amateur theater troupe Les Baladins is starting its new season. This year she chose the piece The Mandarin Roomby Robert Thomas (known for having written Eight women notably). A great classic of boulevard theater, in which the scenes take place in a chic hotel where each room has its own decor. Guests of the tangerine room will live an unexpected experience. “Forbidden love, espionage, tragic romance… The pillars of the hotel will experience comical and funny situations”describes the troop.

An exhibition in Mayenne
The first exhibition of the season at the contemporary art center Le Kiosque opens Saturday November 16, 2024, at the Calvairiennes chapel. The works of artist Julie C. Fortier will be presented in the Couleurs captives exhibition.
The artist works on the senses and memory, associating smells, colors and textures.

The Sainte-Cécile de l’Harmonie concert, in Château-Gontier
The Harmonie du Pays de Château-Gontier will play on the occasion of Sainte-Cécile Sunday, November 17 at 4 p.m., at the Théâtre des Ursulines in Château-Gontier. A concert performed for the benefit of the Refuge de l’Arche. The concert will be composed of diverse and varied pieces.

A Christmas market, at Horps
Organized by the festival committee, a Christmas market will take place at Horps on Sunday. Among the items presented, visitors will be able to find local and artisanal products such as beers, sausages, poultry, soaps and candles. Christmas crafts and roasted chestnuts will also be offered.
Santa will be there to meet the children at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

A concert as part of the German cultural season, in Laval
Music, cinema, debates, economy, sports… Since October 3 and until December 19, with Saison Pays, Laval vibrates to the rhythm of a cultural season dedicated to Germany. This Sunday, a musical event is offered by teachers from the Conservatoire de Laval agglo, at Le Quarante. The program was designed around German romantic chamber music and the composers Schubert, Brahms and Schumann. There will first be “violin, viola and cello for a repertoire of sonatas with piano, before the splendid piano quartet by Schumann, by Bérengère Fleury, Claire Vial and Véronique Ferrand, accompanied by Frédéric Rivault on the piano”presents the Conservatory.

A motorcycle ride for a good cause in Château-Gontier
Moto Evasion 53 is organizing a “one helmet = one toy” motorcycle ride, Sunday November 17. For each biker present at the outing, the association will give a new toy to children admitted to the emergency room of the Château-Gontier hospital center.
