Hérault. With “50 Shades of WAW!”, Aurélie created a one-woman show on the quality of life at work

A show that talks about Quality of life at work (QVT), admit that this is not common! This is the original idea proposed by Aurélie Moureindependent consultant specializing in the issue in Hérault.

With her one-woman show titled “50 Shades of WAW!” – for Wellness At Work -, which she will perform for the first time on the stage of the Théâtre de la Comédie du Mas du Pont, at Cres (Hérault), she wants to make the business world laugh, share her anecdotes but also give food for thought, “send a message of common sense to think about work differently”. Interview.

“It has become a visceral subject”

Companies. In what circumstances were you led to create a show around QVT?

Aurélie Moure. This idea of talking differently about QVT comes from my personal journey. I worked for 15 years in a large banking group where I held advisory positions for individuals, professionals and relations with managers. One day, I attended a talk by Julie Artis and it sounded like a revelation. I walked out with a big “Wow!” because QVT connects so many things, it has become a visceral subject.

I then trained myself on the issue and started organizing workshops at work with colleagues, before Covid. In 2019, I launched the podcast “Monday de Bon’heur(e)” and my meetings with entrepreneurs took up more and more space. I then took a one-year leave of absence for personal reasons to create my business and take the plunge into entrepreneurship. And I created the company WAW in 2022 to support managers.

After all these meetings, I took hastily written notes, wondering what I could do with them. I then had the idea of creating a show to express in a relaxed way the reality that I saw. I wanted lightness and the format was suitable.

“Think about work differently”

EO. What messages do you want to convey through this comedy about the business world?

AM. Work stoppages, resignations and contractual terminations are the nightmare of managers. This show was born from the observation of thinking about work differently, of touching people differently but without feeling guilty or pointing fingers. Stress at work, professional relations, management and work organization through various characters and key scenes are addressed in the one-woman show.

The subject is worth it because it concerns everyone. We are all at 1000 miles per hour every day, I am very proud to offer a moment of laughter and sharing to ask the right questions. QVT is a result, not a means.

EO. What are the topics that come up the most when you are consulted by business leaders?

AM. The subject of employee engagement comes up a lot. Today I use an indicator to measure it: it is the IBET (Index of well-being at work, editor's note), developed by Mozart Consulting, and we are able, through several markers, to quantify the impact of this disengagement. We perform well when we feel good and the work environment is healthy.

I explain to business leaders that It costs more to do nothing in these situations. Companies must act to establish a real strategy and managers must be aware of paradoxical injunctions and addictive practices. A rigology workshop is not enough to reduce the resignation rate!

EO. Is the show which will be performed on November 26 destined to evolve and is your objective to develop it in Occitanie or everywhere in ?

AM. Yes, the objective is to develop the dates and play it in other territories in 2025. The content changes all the time in fact. I'm on 11e version ! (laughs). I adapt to the spirit of the times and to topics that are the subject of conversation, such as current business transfers. This is a subject in which the value of human capital takes on its full meaning.
