It is a man with a face marked by the suffering of mourning a son. And a family still in shock, thirteen months after the sudden death of Jordan Cadoret, 32, in Moréac duringan evening which has still not revealed all its mysteries.

After a botched first investigation and concluding that it was a suicide, a second investigation made it possible to understand a little better what had happened on the night of September 9 to 10, 2023, the events which had led to Jordan's death. Even if there remain gray areas that Franck, Jordan's father, hopes to discover this Monday, November 18 at judicial court.

On the dock, Mickaël G. (40 years old) and Jérôme S (38 years old). They will be judged for manslaughter by manifestly deliberate violation of a security obligation or caution, modification of the scene of a crime or an offense for obstructing the manifestation of the truth, detention and acquisition of narcotics and supply or transfer of narcotics.

A trial that Franck Cadoret no longer hoped for as the path of the cross to get there was strewn with obstacles. Thanks to the audition minutes that we were able to see, let's look back at how this drama unfolded.

The suicide thesis too quickly validated

On Saturday September 9, 2023, Franck and his son spend the afternoon in Locminé in Franck's father's house. Jordan's grandfather ended his life three months earlier and it was with sadness and some tears that the two men sorted through the house. Jordan is very touched by the death of his “grandpa” with whom he had a “close relationship and whom he saw every weekend”, as Franck will explain to the police. At the end of the day, Franck leaves Jordan who still needs to be alone with his grandfather's memory and belongings. His father is worried and asks him to be careful and “not to do stupid things”. “It’s not okay, no!” Jordan replies, “I have my daughter. » A little Kayla, now 12 years old.

Jordan then withdraws €100 from Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne in Locminé then goes to Mickaël G.

Only once did Jordan's phone go off the hook. But no one speaks. We just hear a voice in the room saying, “You have to mind your own business.”

Worried about not seeing Jordan again, his partner and his father called him several times and sent him messages. The text messages are all read but without responses. Only once did Jordan's phone go off the hook following a call, but no one spoke. We just hear a voice in the room saying, “You have to mind your own business.”

On Sunday, around noon, Franck alerts the gendarmes who refuse to start an investigation into a worrying disappearance less than 48 hours after the said disappearance.

“There have been no fingerprints taken and there will be no hearings for months. My clients were traumatized and felt real contempt. »

Me Anne-Sophie Barle, lawyer for the Cadoret family

It is thanks to Facebook that we will find Jordan. Franck broadcasts the photo of his son's car, an ancestral burgundy Peugeot 405, which belonged to his grandfather and was easily recognizable. A first Internet user tells them that she has seen the car in front of Mickaël's house in Moréac during the weekend, then a second testimony allows the vehicle to be found in a dead end in Bignan. Inside, macabre discovery: Jordan's body, in the back of the vehicle.

The Josselin gendarmes went to the scene and, in front of the family, quickly declared that it was a suicide. “But there was no fingerprinting and there will be no hearing for months,” denounces Anne-Sophie Barle, the family’s lawyer. My clients were traumatized and felt real contempt. » Franck remembers an exchange with one of the gendarmes, when his son's body was already purple, proof that he had been dead for a long time. “The gendarme told me sharply: you are not going to teach me my job! » Jordan's body is sent to for an autopsy, the results of which the family will not know until… July 2024!

A punitive expedition which will relaunch the investigation

Devastated and angryFranck wants justice to be done and organizes a punitive expedition. On January 27, 2024, when he had no news of the investigation, he surrendered, armed with a baseball bat, with another of his sons, armed with a fake pistol, his wife and the partner by Jordan at Mickaël G. He locks himself in the room while the four family members threaten him and break the and other furniture. “ He was behind the door and confessed everything. Yes Jordan died at home and yes he moved the body to Bignan,” remembers Franck.

This commando operation will benefit all its participants a suspended prison sentence in April 2024.

“But it is thanks to this punitive expedition that the investigation will be relaunched, after the first which was completely botched,” explains Mr. Barle. Mickaël and Jérôme are then arrested andconfess everything during their hearing. “Yes Jordan died at their house,” says Mr. Barle, “yes they admit that they sold him drugs, they even say that 'They watched TV on Sunday with Jordan dead on the couch…” And they admit that they decided to move the body.

Heroin, alcohol and drugs

The autopsy finally sent to the Cadorets' lawyer reveals traces of heroin, alcohol and medications (painkillers) in Jordan's body. But without establishing direct causality with death. How did this drama really unfold in detail? Why didn't the two defendants call the firefighters or emergency services when Jordan felt ill? These are questions they will have to answer this Monday in front of the judges.

A little over a year after the death of his son, Franck – who suffered a series of hospitalizations and made several suicide attempts – still has the same objective:“I want justice to be done.”
