You are running out of ideas to occupy your Sunday November 17, 2024 in the Channel? However, these are not the animations which are missing. Here are some good ideas for outings.

ANIMATIONS

SEA FESTIVAL

  • Cherbourg, The City of the Sea : 28e edition of the Sea and Local Products Festival organized by the Mer et Terroir en Cotentin association in partnership with Manche Terroir, Bienvenue à la Ferme and the chefs of the Manche Gastronomie du terroir association. 10:30 a.m.: Preparation around fish from our coasts ( fresh sea) cooked with Pinte de Saire beer, hosted by the chefs. 4:30 p.m.: “Special children’s” culinary workshop around chocolate led by chef Gwenaël Le Garrec of Chez Ferdinand. Registration on site, the same day, at the stand of the Manche Gastronomie du terroir association. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Gérard Bourdet, co-founder and president of the Voiles Écarlates association, will sign his graphic novel Marées et horizons. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

EXPO-VENTE

  • Montebourg, village hall: The Cotentin Geology Club Fresville Fossiles offers an exhibition of fossils, minerals and prehistory from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The opportunity to come and discover the pieces that the members of the association were able to discover, collected during their investigations on various geological sites.

FESTIVAL DU POLAR

  • Équeurdreville, Le Palace cinema: Crime film festival, “Fedora” will be presented by Nicolas Boscher, cinema professor, with a nod to the scenes filmed locally, in Vauville and at Rozel. Then “Los Delincuentes”, a black comedy hailed at the festival for its South American atmosphere. “Juror No. 2”, Clint Eastwood's latest film.

  • Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte, community hall: Municipal staff toy exchange from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CINE-DEBATE

  • Quettehou, Grain Hall: Kerala, Bali, Lofoten, Montenegro, Tenerife… film debate, come and chat with the globetrotters, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Price: entry for the afternoon €5. Ins. at 02 33 43 20 68.

CONFERENCES

  • Tribehou, natural park: conference “communal marshes” at 3 p.m., the communal marshes of Tribehou represent a singular and specific space of the Cotentin and Bessin marshes. CONCERTS

  • Carentan, Theater room: Fall concert with the Harmony Orchestra at 3 p.m., as part of the traditional fall concerts. Fans will hear numerous pieces on the theme of film music including Dances with Wolves, Game of Thrones or even Flashdance.
  • Coutances, cathedral: Organ concert by Bernard Marx at 5 p.m.

LOTUS

  • Blosville, village hall: Festival committee lottery, doors opening at 1:30 p.m. There are €1,000 in various vouchers to be won, including one for €250. Refreshment bar and crepes on sale on site.

TRAVEL FESTIVAL

CHRISTMAS MARKET

  • Martinvast, Saint-Sébastien room: Familles Rurales offers you its Christmas market, with more than 1,000 objects made by members of the association put on sale. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the organizers are setting up a creative parent-child workshop from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. And there will be readings of Christmas stories again from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

PHOTO MONTH

  • Valognes, hotel god: Photography Month from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free.

BELOTE COMPETITION

HIKING

SORTIES NATURE

Feet in the water” from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Intended for accompanied children, from 6 years old, this 45-minute visit focuses on a few particularly intriguing works to encourage discussion. Free.
