Industry Week in Reunion: an initiative aimed at promoting industry professions!

Several institutions honored with their presence at this inauguration:

• ADIR, represented by Mr. Michel DIJOUX, to recall the driving role of local industry
• France Travail, with Mr. Jean-Jacques CARTAYE, Western Delegate Territorial Director, in support of professional integration initiatives
• The Rectorate, represented by Mr. Michel MULLER, Advisor to the Rector – DRAIO, to encourage rapprochement between education and the industrial world
• DEETS, with Mr. Sylvain LIAUME, Deputy Director, reaffirming the challenges of reindustrialization in Reunion

A final STMG Mercatique class from the Lycée Louis Payen was also present, illustrating the desire to involve young people in discovering the opportunities offered by the industry.

This week’s missions and objectives:

Industry Week 2024 aims to:

• Encourage vocations by removing obstacles to self-censorship
• Highlight the employment and innovation prospects offered by the industrial sector
• Strengthen synergies between businesses, educational institutions, and local communities

Participants will have the opportunity to discover professions and innovations through:

• Company visits (118 slots organized in 37 industrial sites) thanks to the work of ADIR, the Bénédictin Economic Club (CEB), CIREST and the Western Territory
• Conferences, interactive workshops, and meetings between professionals and young people
• A complete agenda available on week-industrie.gouv.fr which offers more than 171 events in total

The inauguration of this 13th edition highlights the dynamism of Reunion's industry and its central role in building a sustainable and prosperous future. By bringing together institutional, educational and economic players, this event illustrates a collective ambition: to make the industry a driver of transformation and opportunities for all.
