In a letter to members of the RN, the president of the far-right party attacks the justice system after the prosecution's requisitions in the context of the trial of the FN parliamentary assistants.
A justice that “persecutes[rait]” Marine Le Pen and who would be in a form of “revenge” against her. In a letter to the members of the RN, revealed by RTL and since consulted by BFMTV, Jordan Bardella denounced this Thursday, November 14, the requisitions made the day before by the prosecution in the context of the trial of parliamentary assistants of the FN (ex-RN).
While he demanded five years in prison, three of which were suspended, a 300,000 euro fine and above all a sentence of ineligibility against the three-time presidential candidate, the boss of the far-right party is continuing the strategy of his camp. Once again, he calls into question the judicial institution. His “conviction”: “A part of justice seeks to triumph where our adversaries have failed.”
To read Jordan Bardella, it would be “not only (of) silencing a woman of integrity” but also of “depriving millions of French people of their vote” for the next presidential election.
An argument repeated over and over by RN elected officials and described as “a great act of hypocrisy” by Xavier Bertrand on Thursday, the LR president of Hauts-de-France believing that the far-right party has “an alternative candidate”. In the person of… Jordan Bardella, whose book “What I'm looking for”, was released last week.
“Mobilisation”
In his letter to members, the latter concludes with a call “for mobilization throughout France, on the ground as well as on social networks. “You have always been able to count on Marine Le Pen, on her desire to defend you, on her patriotism . Prove to those who want to silence us that she is not alone,” he urges.
The case concerning the head of the RN deputies is that of suspicions of fictitious jobs at the FN aimed at diverting money from the European Parliament for the benefit of the party. In addition to Marine Le Pen, and her far-right party, 24 other people are on trial.
On Wednesday, the prosecution stressed that the “system” put in place, which was “strengthened” with the arrival of Marine Le Pen at the head of the party in 2011, is “unprecedented” in its duration, the “amount ” embezzlements (4.5 million) and its “organized, systematized character”.
