For their 2025 calendar, these Jura firefighters invited athletes

Here we go again for a new year! The Arinthod firefighters are once again crisscrossing the ten municipalities of the sector for their traditional sale of calendars.

But this year, it's a very special edition which is coming. Indeed, in addition to highlighting the dedication and courage of firefighters, the 2025 calendar highlights the local sports associations.

Why this choice?

Quite simply because firefighters and athletes share many common values: team spirit, surpassing oneself solidarity and respect for the rules.

By highlighting these associations, the firefighters wish highlight the importance of sportin everyone's life and thank all the volunteers who invest in enlivening our communities.

The 2025 calendar will therefore be an opportunity to discover or rediscover the numerous sports associations present in the Arinthod sector. Each month, an association will be honored with a photo and a presentation of its activities.

Welcome the firefighters!

“When the firefighters come knocking at your door, don’t hesitate to welcome them warmly. This is an opportunity to thank them for their commitment and to support a cause that concerns us all », recalls Roger Mathon, the president of the association.

“Don’t forget: firefighters are at your service throughout the year. By purchasing a calendar, you are helping to support them. »

The Telethon is getting ready

The Arinthod fire brigade is also preparing an exceptional evening for the Telethon, on Friday November 29 from 5 p.m., at the rescue center.

This year again, it has developed a program rich in activities for all ages. On the menu:

• Creation of a giant fresco : Give free rein to your creativity and participate in the creation of a collective work by applying your hand with paint to create the fresco.
• Construction of a giant tower: An original challenge that will test your skill and team spirit. To raise the tower ever higher, you will have to take on sporting and/or cultural challenges.
• Participation in theAquarium of Hope: Bring your plastic caps to contribute to this great initiative organized by the departmental union of firefighters. All these caps will then be returned to the Bouchons d’Amour associationlocated in Dole
• Run nocturne: At 6 p.m., put on your sneakers and your flashlight for a run convivial d’environ 3 kmleaving the barracks. Open to all levels, this race is an opportunity to practice sport while supporting a good cause.

A small snack will be offered on site to help you regain your strength between two activities.

Why participate?

This event aims to support research against rare genetic diseases.The funds raised will make it possible to fund research projectsto improve the quality of life of patients and their families, and to give hope to all those fighting against the disease.

Please note that the Arinthod, Saint-Julien and Thoirette rescue center is looking for new volunteer firefighters. Together, let's save lives and protect property.
