The Special Assize Court looked into the path of the professor's assassin on Wednesday November 13 and Thursday November 14. Installed in with his family in 2008, the young Chechen, shot dead by the police, quickly became radicalized before taking action.

The strangeness in trials where the assassin has been shot dead by the police is that, sometimes, the latter disappears from the proceedings. The impression is all the more vivid at the meetings responsible for examining the attack against Samuel Paty that the family of the jihadist, Abdoullakh Anzorov, itself evaded justice. Returning to Chechnya to bury him, his relatives never returned to France. His father, Abouyezid, even gave an interview to a local blogger in June 2021, where he said: “My son left defending the honor of all Chechens and all Muslims in the world.” Sincere declarations or claims made under pressure from the security services of despot Ramzan Kadyrov, always inclined to destabilize the West? Difficult to establish. Still, the Anzorov family has always conveyed the image of a clan closed in on itself, attached to community customs as well as a rigorous Islam.

Installed in France in 2008, the Anzorovs follow the chaotic trajectory of many other Chechen families, traumatized by the horror of the two wars led by the Moscow government, between 1994 and 2009, to mate
