an agreement about to be signed for the departure of 100 employees

Thursday, November 14, 2024, the management of Inteva, manufacturer of automobile window regulators in Esson in , and the union organizations, were rereading the Job Protection Plan (PSE), before the final signatures on Friday November 15, 2024. “There is a rereading of the draft agreement and we are moving towards a signature and an agreement”, indicated Thursday, Philippe Guilbert, CFTC central union delegate.

“Avoid layoffs as much as possible”

Following a halt in orders from the Renault group, Inteva decided to part ways with employees and “Esson site is one of the most affected” for the union representative. Of the 220 employees at the Calvados factory, 100, compared to 120 announced before the summer, will have left by May 2025.

The first departures, concerning engineers and technicians, will take place by the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. Sixty positions in the production sector will be eliminated in May. “In this plan, there is a support component in order to avoid layoffs as much as possible,” reveals Philippe Guilbert.
