It is in Pont-Mahé, near Assérac on the Guérande peninsula and on the Morbihan border, that Françoise Gautier, a former insurance company employee, converted to seamstress creation.

It was a friend who asked me to make a few bags for her. She was satisfied, it became my passion. Now I make bags, it's a total coincidence. By Framboise is a purely creative name that my 3 sons came up with.

Leather and upholstery

Coming from his imagination and creativity, these bags By Raspberry are made from furnishing fabrics, not intended for leather goods. Other characteristics, they all have at least one leather strap or handles, to carry them or put them over the shoulder, sometimes also a leather badge for decoration. The leather, from or Italy, is chosen by Françoise who cuts whole cattle hides. The clasps, rivets, buckles and loops, all metal, are made of brass. Each bag, made with his overlocker and his professional sewing machine, has a waterproof interlining.

“Not bling-bling bags”

The result is “original bags, in a price bracket between €35 and €60, accessible to most”, sold at summer markets, Christmas markets, on the internet or during the open days of his workshop.

If you like a model, it can be made, on request, with other fabrics and other colors.
