For several months now, the Manche departmental council has been supporting work carried out by the Cotentin conurbation, itself initiated several years ago with the analysis of the competence Management of aquatic environments and flood prevention (Gemapi).

For this, a envelope of 500,000 euros was allocated for financethese diagnoses (410,000 by the Agglomeration and 90,000 euros for the Department) which can be requested by the 460 owners of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (Manche) and its surroundings, located in this red flood zone.

Mainly established near the Divette basinthese goods also include 64 public buildings and 8 businesses .
