The deputy for Creuse calls on the Minister of the Interior about the risk of ZAD on the Chammet lake site

I will be particularly vigilant“. The Minister of the Interior responded to the deputy for Creuse this Tuesday during a session of questions to the government at the National Assembly. Bartolomé Lenoir, of the UDR group chaired by Éric Ciotti, expressed his concerns to him on the situation of the old holiday center of Lake Chammet in Faux-la-Montagne. According to the deputy for Creuse who just launched a petition“around a hundred people took up residence in this place which could become a withdrawal zone during violent demonstrations“.

If the mayor of Faux-la-Montagne disputes these comments, Bruno Retailleau agrees with the deputy for Creuse. The Minister of the Interior notes that the site welcomes “very regularly activists from the most radical environmental causes“.

Three avenues of work

Si Bruno Retailleau “understands the worry” of the deputy for Creuse, he nevertheless affirms that “we are not yet at the ZAD stage”. The minister proposes three areas of work. He will ask the prefect of Creuse to ensure thatno disturbance of public order is left unanswered. He will also call on Enedis and its works council to verify “the compatibility of the corporate purpose of the works council with the rental to this association“Finally, Bruno Retailleau announced that the State would study the possibility of repurchase.”the site to protect it“.

The old holiday center of Lake Chammet belongs to EDF of which Enedis is a part. It is currently occupied by members of the Forest Research and Study Center (CREF). The association is hosted free of charge, the EDF works council having signed a precarious occupation agreement renewable from year to year with the CREF.
