Purpose of the position / Context:
Placed under the authority of the Head of the College Agent Management Department within the Youth Education Department of the Department, you will ensure the quality of the catering and maintenance missions of the premises in compliance with food safety rules. and hygiene within the colleges assigned to you.
You are the daily referent for the college management teams and departmental agents of around fifteen public colleges (daily presence in the field) in the Arve Valley, Faucigny and Mont-Blanc sector.
Main missions
On a daily basis, here are your missions:

You support the management teams of the colleges in your area as well as the teams of kitchen and premises maintenance agents on the organizational, technical and regulatory levels.

You are responsible for the Food Safety system in place and assist the teams in establishing corrective action plans in response to audit and inspection findings.

You advise the General Secretaries on matters of organization, procurement, nutritional/quality/environment standards and purchase of equipment in compliance with the guidelines defined by the Head of Department.

You implement, organize and provide training in food hygiene, premises maintenance, and professionalization of agents.

You monitor the colleges' food supply in conjunction with the regional purchasing group and implement quality actions favoring sustainable, local and organic products as well as “homemade”.

You support the team of technical agents of the college as well as the itinerant chef in the event of the absence of the Chef for the development of adapted menus, the application of an adapted level of service and ensure the continuity of service.
In coordination with the 3 other catering hygiene and cleanliness advisors from the Management:

You support traveling chefs and participate in establishing their schedule.

You develop and maintain best practice benchmarks and be a source of proposals in terms of innovative catering and premises maintenance equipment.

You will monitor equipment needs for catering equipment and premises maintenance, contribute to the development of specifications and establish quotes.

You participate in the implementation of activities, gastronomic operations and events and contribute to internal communication in the Department.

You ensure regular reporting to the department head and contribute to the implementation of a quality approach in a permanent search for continuous improvement.

You give a technical opinion on the advisability of recruiting replacement contract workers in the colleges for which you are responsible and participate in recruitment interviews for chefs and kitchen assistants in conjunction with the service's Human Resources Management Unit.
