He was expected like the messiah in Lapalud. Bleu Vaucluse, teaches us that a new doctor moves in since the beginning of November in the commune in northern Vaucluse.

Waited for several years – five years to be precise – the Doctor Jean-François Leduc comes straight from Pas-de-. For him, who is 72 years old, it is a new setting for a new life but also for a new challenge. Since the medical desert strongly hits the Provençal department and particularly the region in which he settles.

Other doctors are expected by the municipality

The town of more than 3,800 people previously had only three doctors, in the meantime two of the health professionals have left their jobs to enjoy their retirement.

The mayor, Hervé Faugèresalmost no longer believed in it, he confided to our colleagues: “Since 2020, every three months, we have sent a request to all the faculties in France for the installation of a doctor in Lapalud”. The town hall renovated two medical offices.

This new doctor comes to relieve the tension but at least another specialist should intervene, in order to find a rhythm of yesteryear.
